One cannot install a fresh 374 engine in a dirty ole engine bay, can one? In preparation for the day when the fresh engine gets reinstalled into his 1955 400, Kevin accomplished some nice restoration.

With the front clip and engine removed, this is what a 50 year old stock 400 firewall and engine bay looks like. |

After the original wiring was stripped off and the firewall cleaned and prepped, the firewall was painted the original body color by a friend of Kevin's. |

After paint, the entire 400 was rewired using a Painless rewire harness. Looks pretty, doesn't it? |

Even though it does not rain much in southern Arizona, Kevin opted for a new Newport Engineering electric wiper motor, "just in case". |
