The 352CID engine in Kevin's 1955 400 was running OK when last parked. But, as a major aspect of his restoration, Kevin decided that to have a very reliable, fun Packard, the engine needed overhaul and update. Although many readers of this project will be experienced in the overhaul of engines in general and the Packard V-8 in particular, this presentation will show and discuss the complete overhaul process in quite some detail. This extra detail is to enlighten those readers without such experience and to entertain others. Craig Hendrickson guided the overhaul and took care of the machining. |
