Recently one of our members, Kevin of Tucson, AZ, decided to complete the partial restoration of his 1955 Packard 400 hardtop. This good example of a 1955 senior 352CID engine was running OK when last parked. But, to have a very reliable "driver", Kevin decided that the engine needed updation, meaning overhaul and update.
Although many readers of this project will be experienced in the overhaul of engines in general and the Packard V-8 in particular, this presentation will show and discuss the complete overhaul process in quite some detail. This extra detail is to enlighten those readers without such experience and to entertain others.
