1956 Packard Packard Project

Welcome to my website about building an "imaginary beast", the
1956 Packard Panther!

Packard created several showcars and personal luxury cars in the 1950s before the last real Packard was manufactured in August 1956. In 1954, four Packard Panthers were built and all exist to this day. What if Packard had built a limited production, personal high performance automobile in 1956? Packard’s Caribbean (1953-56) was meant to compete with the Cadillac Eldorado, not with the Chrysler 300B and Desoto Adventurer. The purpose of the 1956 Packard Panther Project is to build such a beast!
