Rather than overhaul the original Twin-Ultramatic, Paul installed a manual 4-speed Ford Borg-Warner T-10 transmission. The T-10 bolts right up to a stock Packard manual transmisison bell housing which Paul got from one of his parts cars. The innovative and unique aspect of this part of his project is the use of pneumatics (pressurized air) to actuate both the clutch and the shifter.
